NOTICE OF MEETING
OF THE
LINDON CITY PLANNING COMMISSION



The Lindon City Planning Commission will hold a regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 in the Council Room of Lindon City Hall, 100 North State Street, Lindon, Utah. The meeting will begin at 7:00 P.M. The agenda will consist of the following items:

1. Call to Order
2. Approval of Minutes
3. Public Comment (Review times are estimates only.)

4. Concept Review: Golden Years – Elderly Group Home – 190 North 400 West (20 minutes)
This is a request by Ray Taylor for review of a concept plan for an elderly residential group home facility in the R1-20 zone. The applicants plans will need to meet all requirements indicated in the Lindon City Code Section 17.70.030. They are looking for feedback on their design and site layout.

5. Site Plan: Lindon Cannery – 945 West Center Street (20 minutes)
This is a request by Mike Anderson with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for approval of a site plan for a storage building in the LI zone. The applicant is proposing to build a 2,500 sq/ft metal storage building that would be used for agricultural purposes associated with the cannery. The plans also call for an indoor restroom that would be located with in the storage building.

6. Public Hearing: Major Subdivision - Hill/Cox Subdivision – 68 North 800 West (20 minutes)
This is a request by Eric Hill and Lewis Cox for approval of a major subdivision in the R1-20 zone. The applicants propose subdividing two existing lots to create 4 buildable lots. The plans also call for a cul-de-sac and for existing accessory buildings to be removed in the future. Recommendations from the Planning Commission will be made to the City Council for final approval.

7. Public Hearing: Ordinance amendments – LCC Section 17.49.070 (15 minutes)
This is a City initiated review of proposed changes to Lindon City’s architectural design standards for the industrial zones. Recommendations from the Planning Commission will be made to the City Council for final approval.

8. Public Hearing: Ordinance amendments – LCC Sections 17.47.050, 17.48.030, 17.48.100, 17.49.060, and 17.50.060 (30 minutes)
This is a City initiated review of proposed changes to Lindon City’s landscaping requirements with in the R&B (Research and Business), CG (General Commercial), PC (Planned Commercial), MC (Mixed Commercial) zones, LI (Light Industrial), and HI (Heavy Industrial). Recommendations from the Planning Commission will be made to the City Council for final approval.
