NOTICE OF MEETING
FOR THE
LINDON CITY COUNCIL
It is hereby given that the Lindon City Council will hold a regularly scheduled meeting beginning with a Work Session at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 in the Lindon City Center, City Council Chambers, at 100 North State Street, Lindon, Utah. The agenda will consist of the following:
WORK SESSION - 6:00 P.M.
The Mayor and City Council will meet in a work session with Don Peterson, Public Works Director, to discuss issues and concerns for fiscal year 2007/2008.
REGULAR SESSION - 7:00 P.M.

PROCLAMATION - The Mayor and City Council will consider a Proclamation for “Lindon City Arbor Day Celebration” designated as May 5, 2007.
MINUTES - The minutes of the regular meeting of April 17, 2007 and the Work Session minutes of April 24, 2007 will be reviewed. - 5 minutes

CURRENT BUSINESS
1. Preliminary Plat - Lauren Residential Subdivision, Plat “B”. This is a request by Ty Allen for preliminary plat approval of a re-plat of Lauren Residential Subdivision, Plat “B”, 2 lots, in the R1-20 zone at 335 and 337 South 240 West. The Planning Commission recommended approval with no conditions. - 10 minutes
2. Report - Update on the I-15 Corridor EIS. This is a report to the City Council by UDOT staff and consultants updating information concerning the widening of the I-15 Corridor and the Environmental Impact Statement associated with this project. - 30 minutes
3. Report - Update on the Mountain View Corridor EIS.. This is a report to the City Council by UDOT staff and consultants updating information concerning the Mountain View Corridor and the Environmental Impact Statement associated with this project. - 30 minutes
4. Public Hearing - Industrial Development Bonds. The City Council will hear public comment and possibly act to approve this item. This is a required Public Hearing regarding the intention of Lindon City, Utah, to issue Industrial Development Bonds to be used to purchase manufacturing equipment and related facilities for Mountain States Steel, Inc. or any related company (“The Project”), and authorizing the issuance and sale of such bonds in the principal amount of not to exceed $1,400,000. - 15 minutes
5. Public Hearing - Ordinance Replacing Lindon City Election Code Chapter 2.44. (Ordinance #2007-7). The City Council will hear public comment and possibly act to approve an ordinance which replaces Chapter 2.44, “Elections” of the Lindon City Code in order to comply with recent changes in state law. - 20 minutes
6. Review and Action - Resolution of Interest - LDS Ward House (Resolution #2007-7). This is a request by the Mayor for City Council’s consideration of a resolution stating the city’s interest in purchasing the LDS Ward House at 25 North Main Street for use as a Senior Citizens Center. - 10 minutes
7. Review and Action - Change Order #1 - Street Improvement Projects. This is a request by staff for the Council’s approval of a change order amount which exceeds the parameters of staff authority. The change order addresses problems that were not completely known at the time of bidding. - 15 minutes
8. Report - Tentative Budget, Fiscal Year 2007-2008. Staff will distribute the Tentative Budget document for fiscal year 2007-2008 which includes the RDA budget and the MBA budget. The Mayor and staff request that work sessions be scheduled during the month of May for discussions of issues related to the new fiscal year budget. - 10 minutes
9. Review and Action - Employment Agreement - City Administrator. This is a request by the City Attorney for the City Council’s review and action on an employment agreement for the City Administrator. This action is a result of discussions held in an executive session of the Council. - 10 minutes
