It is hereby given that the Lindon City Council will hold a special meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 in the Lindon City Center, City Council Chambers, at 100 North State Street, Lindon, Utah. The agenda will consist of the following:

CURRENT BUSINESS
1. Review and Action - Interlocal Agreement - Lindon City and Orem City, Fire/EMS/Dispatch Services. This is a request by staff of Lindon City and Orem City for the Mayor and City Council’s approval of an Interlocal Agreement between the two cities which creates a partnership for the provision of Fire/EMS/Dispatch services for Lindon City. This agreement provides, among other things, for how the services will be delivered, the amount Lindon will pay Orem, and the number of employees Orem will hire. The partnership between Lindon and Orem provides benefits to both communities. Lindon gains full-time fire, emergency medical, and dispatch services. Orem receives enhanced coverage for fire and emergency medical services in north Orem. The agreement has been negotiated over the last few months between Lindon’s staff and members of the Lindon City Council and Orem’s staff. - 15 minutes
2. Review and Action - Revised City Certified Tax Rate. This is a request by staff to revise the city’s certified tax rate from the 2007/2008 fiscal year’s rate adopted during the public hearing for the 2008/2009 fiscal year budget. The rate adopted during the budget process was .001390. The late communication from the Utah County Auditor’s office shows the rate to be .001296. Staff recommends adopting .001296 as the city’s certified property tax rate for fiscal year 2008/2009. - 2 minutes
