NOTICE OF MEETING
OF THE
LINDON CITY PLANNING COMMISSION

The Lindon City Planning Commission will hold a regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 in the Council Room of Lindon City Hall, 100 North State Street, Lindon, Utah. The meeting will begin at 7:00 P.M. The agenda will consist of the following items:

AGENDA
Invocation: By Invitation
Pledge of Allegiance: By Invitation

1. Call to Order
2. Approval of Minutes
3. Public Comment (Review times are estimates only.)

4. Public Hearing: Lindon City Parks and Trails Master Plan Map – Heritage Trail alignment (800 West) (30 minutes)
This is a City initiated review of proposed updates to the Lindon City Parks and Trails Master Plan Map in reference to the future Heritage Trail alignment on 800 West; between Lakeview Road and 200 South. This proposal would change the future location of the trail from the west-side of 800 West to the east-side of the road. Due to cost savings, the City Council believes it is in the best interest of the community to change the Lindon City Parks and Trails Master Plan Map and construct the future trail segment on the east-side of 800 West. Recommendations from the Planning Commission will be made to the City Council for final approval.

5. Public Hearing: Lindon City Street Master Plan Map (Schwartz and 300 East) (35 minutes)
This is a City initiated review of proposed updates to the Lindon City Street Master Plan Map. These updates would include eliminating the future connection between 300 East and Center Street to create a hammerhead turn-around instead of a through street. In addition, it is proposed by Mr. Larry Schwarz that the future street connection between 200 North and 400 East be changed to a cul-de-sac on the Street Master Plan. Recommendations from the Planning Commission will be made to the City Council for final approval.

6. Concept Review: Creekside Retirement – Elderly Assisted Living – 500 N. 1700 W. (25 minutes)
This is a request by Ben Probst for review of a concept plan for an assisted living facility in the R3-Overlay zone. The applicant would like to discuss the possibility of constructing an assisted living facility in the center of their approved retirement subdivision. Currently, assisted living facilities are only permitted in commercial zones. No motion will be required, but any recommendations will be made to the City Council for their review.

7. Concept Review: Bio Diesel Production – Resource Exchange Corp – 1155 W. 135 S. (25 minutes)
This is a request by Colleen Nelson with Resource Exchange Corp for review of a concept plan for a bio-diesel company looking at locating in the former Indian Oil facility. No motion will be required, but any recommendations will be made to the City Council for their review.
