Jeannine Cartwright
USU Extension Advanced Master Gardener
Jeannine Cartwright is a mother of five and grandmother of four. She and Kevin have been married twenty nine years.
She serves as the Chairman of the Lindon Tree Advisory Board. She grew up in the rural forests of Oregon. From her youth has been fascinated with the beauty and joy of trees in people’s lives. Thru education she approaches the challenges of growing and maintaining trees in the intermountain west.
Jeannine became a Master Gardener in Idaho in 1997, and later continued Advanced Master Gardener training in Utah. She was awarded Outstanding Volunteer in 2003, Outstanding Teacher in 2004 and Outstanding Volunteer in 2005. She is currently in her seventh year of that curriculum, and serves on the Board of Advanced Master Gardeners @ Thanksgiving Point with Larry Sagers.
She teaches about 20 horticulture classes per year at Thanksgiving Point, and in three counties. She developed and taught the Junior Master Gardener Program @ Thanksgiving Point in 2003.
Currently she is serving her third year on the Hidden Garden Benefit Tour and Garden Selection Committee.
Jeannine is a member of the Utah Valley Garden Club, and served as President-Elect and President in 2003 and 2004 respectively.
She has professional experience through employment at The Garden Path Greenhouse @ Thanksgiving Point, Linden Nursery, and as a floral designer at BYU. She enjoys consulting with homeowners and businesses on designing, nurturing and maintaining their landscapes, beds and containers.
