NOTICE OF MEETING
FOR THE
LINDON CITY COUNCIL


It is hereby given that the Lindon City Council will hold a regularly scheduled meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 in the Lindon City Center, City Council Chambers, at 100 North State Street, Lindon, Utah. The agenda will consist of the following:

MINUTES - The minutes of the regular meeting of October 3, 2006 and the special meeting of October 10, 2006 will be reviewed. - 5 minutes
OPEN SESSION - Citizens comments - 10 minutes
MAYOR’S COMMENTS/REPORT - 5 minutes
CONSENT AGENDA - No Items

CURRENT BUSINESS

1. Preliminary Plat - Westlind Industrial Park, Plat “C”. This is a request by John Pappas of Roofers Supply for preliminary plat approval of Westlind Industrial Park, Plat “C”, Industrial Subdivision, 1 lot, in the LI zone at 125 South 1550 West. The Planning Commission recommended approval with no conditions.- 10 minutes
2. Review and Action - Resolution to Amend City Wide Fee Schedule (#2006-20). This is a request by staff for the Council’s consideration of approval of an amendment to the city wide fee schedule. The change involves the price of a water share under the city’s relief petition process. - 10 minutes
3. Review and Action - Proposed Agreement for Community Center and Aquatics Facility Feasibility Study. The City Council authorized advertising an RFP requesting proposals from qualified firms to conduct a feasibility study for a community center and aquatics facility. The Council then appointed a committee of elected officials and staff to hear several presentations from the responding qualified firms. A company has been chosen by the committee to complete this study. The Council will address the proposed agreement between the city and VCBO.-10 minutes
4. Review and Action - Request for Water Considerations on Creekside Subdivision - Fieldstone Homes Development. This is a request by Griffin Johnson, Fieldstone Homes, for the Council’s consideration of a different standard of measurement for the water requirements on the Creekside Subdivision at approximately 500 North 1700 West. In addition, Mr. Johnson will approach the Council on the possibility of accepting water from the Utah Lake Distribution Company. - 60 minutes
5. Review and Action - Proposed Agreement for On-Line Traffic School Program. This is a request by staff for the Council’s consideration for approval of an agreement between the city and “Traffic School Resources” for an on-line traffic school alternative. The Council received a presentation on this traffic school alternative during its last regular meeting. - 15 minutes
6. Review and Action - Proposed Agreement for Parks, Recreation, and Trails Impact Fee Analysis. This is a request by staff for the Council’s consideration for approval of an agreement between the city and Lewis, Young, Robertson, and Burningham for a Parks, Recreation, and Trails Impact Fee Analysis. The city has had a Park Impact Fee for several years. This analysis would expand that concept to include recreation and trails.

7. Review and Action - Bid Award - 200 South Street from 400 East to 200 East. This is a request by staff for the Council’s consideration of the bid award for the 200 South street improvements from 400 East to 200 East. Requests for bids were properly advertised and received for this project. Four bids were received with the low bid being in the amount of $187,882.00 by Cody Ekker Construction, Inc. Staff recommends awarding the bid to Cody Ekker Construction, Inc. - 5 minutes
8. Review and Action - Employee Temporary Reclassification. This is a request by staff for the Mayor and Council’s consideration of approval for a temporary reclassification of an employee who is currently working “out of class.” - 10 minutes
