Notice to Lindon City Utility Customers In compliance with Utah State law, Lindon City is disclosing proposed transfer of funds as part of the Fiscal Year 2015-2016 budget (July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016) from the utility enterprise funds to the general fund for use in supplementing such city services as fire, police, streets, administration, parks & recreation, and other important city functions. Similar transfers are annually made from the enterprise funds to the general fund in order to help maintain low taxes and fees in Lindon. Proposed amounts to be transferred from enterprise funds to the general fund are as follows:
Solid Waste Collection Fund: $16,780
Sewer Fund: $292,713
Water Fund: $317,491
Storm Water Drainage System Fund: $161,872
Telecommunications Fund: $2,500
A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 7:00 pm at the Lindon City Center, 100 North State Street, Lindon, Utah regarding the adoption of the FY 2015-16 Lindon City budget which includes the proposed utility fund transfers. All interested parties are invited to attend and make comment.
The Recycling Coalition of Utah is sponsoring the 2014 "UTAH" America Recycles Day. A Recycling Exhibition to be held on November 12, 2014 at the South Towne Exposition Center in Sandy, Utah.There will also be a Pulp & Paper Merit Badge Workshop where Scouts can learn how to protect the environment by recycling.
