The Planning Department is responsible for processing applications related to land development and presenting application information to the City Council and Planning Commission. The Planning Department performs a variety of duties related to long-range planning, ordinance amendments, and development activities within the City. The department also serves as principle staff to the Historical Preservation Commission and the Board of Adjustment.
The Building Department is responsible for building permit and plan review for new construction, and for performing on-site building inspections. Our building inspector also serves as our code enforcement officer. The Building Department performs annual business license inspections to assure all business activities are in compliance with building and mechanical codes adopted by Lindon City and that the structures are in conformance with all other applicable ordinances and zoning requirements.
